BACKGROUND
Daffodils Early Childhood Development Centre is a nonprofit organization which was established in 2016. In the past years Matric results have been used as a major determining factor of the education system and the changes to it whereas the crux of the matter lies with the learning background as the child develops in different stages(early learning).
We are active participants in the foundation phase of learning of kids aged 2 to 6 years.
We ensure holistic development of the children as we get them ready for formal schooling. We believe in kids learning through play and that the skills, values and knowledge acquired whilst still in our care will go a long way in producing independent and responsible citizens of our country.
Our Language of Learning and Teaching( LOLT) is English but we also use other African languages to communicate.
We are recognized by:
* The Department of Social Services.
* Department of Education which prescribes and monitors our curriculum and its coverage.
* Department of Health and Environmental health.
Our practitioners are not only qualified but experienced. We use every opportunity to grow in this field by attending workshops and INSET.
CAPS ( Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement) is offered to Grade Rs and NCF( National Curriculum Framework) to learners aged 2 to 4.
